Education seminar
The knowledge that students construct in school is highly influenced by their experiences outside school. Empirical research shows that young people differentiate between appropriate behaviours, ways of speaking and of acting for boys and girls and that there is a pressure to maintain a legitimate social identity both in and outside school. The seminar will demonstrate how this pressure influences what can be constructed as subject knowledge inside the classroom.
