Education seminar
Many secondary schools in England have in the last 10 years invested greatly in new technologies of surveillance, from CCTV cameras to biometric surveillance. I consider this in the wider context of the creeping securitisation and militarisation of education in general, particularly in the US and, to a lesser extent but still significant, in England, and explore the implications of such increased surveillance for race equality.
