Education seminar
This seminar brings together two pieces of research that investigate the relationship between young people’s education pathways and adult political participation in England. The method used is logistic regression and the analysis is performed on two longitudinal datasets; the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England (LSYPD) and the Citizenship Education Longitudinal Study (CELS). Both data sets show a significant difference in the probability to vote and protest according to educational pathway. We will discuss implications for democracy and inequality.
