Education seminar
Large-scale studies like TIMSS, ICCS and PISA have complex sampling designs with, for example, students in schools, weights and a rotated booklet design. To draw valid conclusions, these complex designs need to be taken into account. This seminar will flag up some of the issues with these analyses. I will show what can happen to achievement scores, standard errors and rankings in TIMSS 2011 data if the design is neglected.
