EDUCATION SEMINAR SERIES
Theme: Interdisciplinary, Involvement and Impact
ACoRNS is an initiative that brings together researchers and practitioners to jointly identify and construct a research agenda that is mutually informed by, and informing of, practice. This is very different from models of knowledge exchange or knowledge transfer that are so common in research. We’ll talk about the development of the network, as well as our main research focus on the transitions and trajectories of children and young people with autism.
Community collaboration is vital for developing useful and meaningful evidence-based practices. There are many challenges involved in working in this way but partnership also opens up new opportunities for research funding and pathways to impact.
The implications for practice or research from your talk is that more collaborative research is needed!
