This focused session is aimed at researchers with an interest in engaging the public with their research. It should be useful for those with little or no experience, and for those looking to maximise the impact of their existing engagement. We will briefly explore the wider contexts, external drivers and motivations for public engagement with research (PER), before considering a range of practical methods for engaging different public audiences.
