I have been a teacher for many years in both Primary and Secondary Sectors and since 1992, a Director of a charity helping disadvantaged communities in Romania, focusing on health issues, rural development and education.  Following retirement from teaching on medical grounds I have been focussing on the educational needs of Roma people in Romania and am a part time PhD research student:

Research interests

MPhil/PhD (part-time): Improving access to education for Roma children in Romania

Research question: Practices and perceptions affecting the realisation of the policy to achieve “equal access to quality education for Roma” in a Transylvanian Community.
