Verity is a Postgraduate Researcher based in Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton.
She is a member of the Autism Community Research Network @ Southampton (ACoRNS). Her research explores the process of co-production with neurodivergent young people, focusing on the use of Digital Stories about their educational experiences.
Verity's current research focuses on the use of Digital Stories (short, student-centred videos) with neurodivergent young people. Her doctoral research consists of two studies about their use to document student experiences of collaborative computer game design, and to provide support for the transition into a new school building. This research has been carried out in conjunction with Fairmead School.

Before joining the University of Southampton as a postgraduate researcher, Verity worked as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer (focusing on Natural Language Processing) for a tech start-up. Previously, she studied Speech and Language Processing (MSc) at the University of Edinburgh, and Spanish and Linguistics (BA) at the University of Oxford.
