Holly Curl BSc Education and Psychology

Hi, I'm Holly Curl and I studied BSc Education and Psychology within Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton.

Southampton is one of the few universities to offer an accredited psychology degree and education as a joint honours. This combination of subjects worked perfectly for me.

Throughout secondary school, I knew I always wanted to work with young people and studying for a degree in Education would be the first step in becoming a teacher. Then I started studying Psychology at A level and absolutely fell in love with it.

Southampton is one of the few universities to offer an accredited psychology degree and education as a joint honours and that was a major factor in my decision to come here. This combination of sbjects worked perfectly for me. You can tailor your degree to what interests you, whether your passion is being hands-on and going into schools through placements or taking a bird’s eye view of education through policymaking. After graduation, following a year’s work in educational setting, I will be looking forward to coming back to Southampton to take a doctorate in educational psychology.

Holly has been elected Academic President for Education for 2015/16.
