First Support

First Support

Support for students who may be facing significant difficulties in their life or dealing with a crisis.

If you are experiencing personal or emotional difficulties and feel uncertain about what to do next, or perhaps feel you have reached crisis point, then we can provide the time and space for you to talk with one of the team and explore options for support.

Our aim is to help you feel comfortable and at ease throughout the appointment. We may explore some self-help resources together, complete some questionnaires, or explore strategies that other students have found helpful. On average, appointments last up to 45 minutes. You will meet with a member of the team in a private room, who will introduce themselves and discuss how First Support might be able to help you.

What can First Support help me with?

The types of situations we have previously helped students with include: mental health, suicidal thoughts, bereavement, harassment, financial crisis and more. Click here to see more.
