Additional arrangements can be recommended for exams in accordance with the effects of a health condition or disability. If you think you are entitled to additional arrangements you must contact us as soon as possible.

Students with a disability, mental health condition or specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia or dyspraxia might be eligible to receive additional exam arrangements for exams and timed assessments. Arrangements are made according to individual need and can include extra time, use of a word processor, rest breaks and small exam rooms.

If you think this might apply to you, you need to register with Enabling Services who will  make appropriate recommendations to your Faculty based on your individual needs. If you have already registered with Enabling Services you do not need to do so again unless you have changed course.

If you have examinations in May 2016 the deadline to contacting Enabling Services with medical evidence or a post 16 (years of age) educational psychologist report is Friday, 8 April 2016. If you do not contact Enabling Services with the appropriate medical evidence before this date we will be unable to organise additional examinations recommendations for this semester with your Faculties. We recommend you contact us prior to the deadline date to ensure additional arrangements for exams are organised as early as possible.

To register with Enabling Services, please email enable@soton.ac.uk or telephone 023 8059 7726 (internal 27726). We can offer appointments face to face, via telephone or via Skype.
