Crisp autumn walks in the company of local experts. Book your place today!

Walking is a simple and easy way to be active and maintain your wellbeing. It can help to clear your head, move your body, take place on your own or with friends, not to mention helping to maintain your physical fitness, mental health and boost your mood.

The New Forest Walking Festival will return this autumn with over 80 guided wildlife walks, history hikes and wild play adventures. Why not consider signing up for a walk or ramble in the award-winning New Forest National Park, located just on the outskirts of Southampton.

The expert-led walks will reveal the history, heritage and wildlife of the Forest during the festival from 15 to 30 October. The National Park is particularly dazzling during the autumn, with flat, accessible landscapes making it ideal for all ages and abilities. Prices vary, but many walks are free or discounted for those who travel by public transport, bike or on foot.

New Forest National Park Authority Deputy Chairman Edward Heron says 'The beauty of the New Forest's autumn scenery is plain to see. But what really attracts people to the festival are the local experts, and discovering surprising stories in the Forest's unique landscapes.'

Many walks require advanced booking, which is now open and available. To learn more or book your place on a New Forest Walking Festival Walk, you can visit their website by clicking here.
