Take a walk to campus this October

The first few weeks of a new Academic Year can be hectic. This October, why not set aside a few extra minutes in your day to walk to or from campus and celebrate International Walk to School Month.

As well as being a great way to get around, walking is an easy way to get active and improve both your physical and mental health. It has been proven to reduce stress, boost your mood and release endorphins that will keep you feeling good throughout the day. Southampton is a very walkable city, and campus is rarely far from home. With the busses busy and the traffic picking up, keep in mind that walking to campus this October could be just the right way to start the day.
