"Millions of people around the world live with depression. At its worst, depression can be a frightening, debilitating condition. Many of these individuals and their families are afraid to talk about their struggles, and don’t know where to turn for help. However, depression is largely preventable and treatable. Recognising depression and seeking help is the first and most critical towards recovery." - Matthew Johnstone

This video message below, which uses The Black Dog to expose the truth about living with depression, shows that there are simple steps that can be taken to bring your dog to heel. As narrator (writer and illustrator Matthew Johnstone) outlines, depression is something that can stay with us for a lifetime - like a loyal black dog - the key is how we deal with it.
