Find out more about the initiatives on offer during Women's Health Month

Throughout March the University is running a series of events as part of the ‘Women’s Health Matters’ campaign. In line with this, the Students Union have arranged a number of initiatives for you!

Firstly, they are launching free menstruation products to students who cannot afford to buy them.  This initiative is in partnership with the Liberal Democrat Society as part of their Period Poverty campaign.  During March, these products will be available in the Sabb office (SUSU Building, Building 42, Level 2).  If you feel you need these products, please feel free to go in and help yourself.  The Union is interested in continuing this provision to students that are not able to buy the products after the trial period ends, this decision will be dependent on uptake.

The Union are also running a MoonCup raffle, in order to promote sustainable menstruation to students.  The raffle will be taking place on the SUSU concourse next week.  Keep an eye on the SUSU social media page for further updates about this.

Lastly, they are hosting HIV screening with Solent NHS Trust on Thursday 15th March between 11.00am and 2.00pm.  This screening will be taking place in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 in the SUSU Building (Level 1).  You can walk in on the day or call to book an appointment: 0300 300 2016

This test only takes 60 seconds; it is free and confidential.  For more details visit: www.letstalkaboutit.nhs.uk

For further information about any of these initiatives, please visit the SUSU social media pages for updates.
