Tips for coping with exam stress
Make use of our resources to help with exam stress!

Its exam season again! We understand that this means stress and anxiety can easily creep back into your life. Too much stress can have an impact on both your performance and wellbeing. Enabling Services have a variety of support on offer to help you relax and perform to the best of your abilities. Below you will find details about our self-help materials, online workshops, as well our Mindful Friday sessions!

Where to get help:

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious it can be helpful to talk about it.  Enabling Services offer a daily drop-in every weekday between 13:00-15:00 in Building 37. 

Additionally the Student Life team are dedicated to supporting student wellbeing and enhancing the student experience.  Available for all students 24 hours a day, support can be accessed via telephone, email or face to face by visiting one of the Halls of Residence.

During the exam period, Student Life will be available to support you in the Hartley Library.  There will be two staff based in the glazed pod workspaces in the Assistive Technology Suite and will also be regularly walking through Hartley throughout their shifts to offer support.

They will be available until 8th June between 18:00 and 6:00am and can be identified by their purple polo shirts with ‘Student Life’ written on them.

The Academic Skills Hub at the Hartley Library also offer many online and in-person resources to ensure your revision is efficient and effective. 

Mindful Fridays

You could also try out Enabling Services Mindful Friday sessions, which take place in House 28 from 13:00-13:45 every Friday.  This is an open group and all students are welcome to come along, whether you practice mindfulness regularly or wish to try it out for the first time.  No need to book ahead- just come along on the day. 

Online Workshops

We have just launched a new online workshop: Managing Exam Anxiety: From Stress to Success.  While you are there, take a look at our other workshops too. These workshops can be completed from the comfort of your own home and gives lots of useful tips from exam stress to improving your sleep.
