Events during the exam period

You Are More Than Your Exams
There are many events taking place during exam time, including SUSU's You Are More Than campaign.

We know that studying for your exams can be stressful and we want to encourage you to make time for relaxing activities and fun breaks in between revision sessions. We've compiled a list of just some of the fantastic events that the University and Students' Union are running during the exam period to help you look after your wellbeing.

SUSU's  You Are More Than Your Studies   events

From Monday 7th January until Friday 25th January, the Students' Union are hosting a variety of events to help boost your wellbeing during the exam period.

Throughout exams, you can use Bar 2, Building 42 as a Chill Out Space. You can also use Meeting Rooms 2 and 5 in Building 42, and Meeting Room 7 in Building 40 as study spaces.

You can also make the most of free access to a number of Sport and Wellbeing's fitness classes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday during the exam period.

Find out more information about these events on the Student Union's webpage.

Enabling Services events

The Student Support Drop-in resumes its normal term-time hours as of Monday 7th January. You can meet 1:1 with a trained advisor to talk about the support which is available at the University.

Enabling Services will hold Study Skills Support sessions in the Assistive Technology Suite (Room 2047 of the Hartley Library) during exam time:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 12pm.
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 2pm – 4pm.

Study Skills Support sessions at the WSA will be held on Tuesdays from 1pm – 2pm.

Student Life events

Exam time can mean that you're sat a desk for hours, which can lead to aches and pains! Student Life have organised seated massage sessions to help you to relax.

  • Thursday 10th January from 11am - 1pm, seated massage in SUSU.
  • Tuesday 22nd January from 10am - 3pm, seated massage in Hartley Library.

Faith and Reflection Centre events

You don't need to have a faith to go to the Faith and Reflection Centre. It's there for you if you need to take some time out and sit somewhere quiet during exams, or if you want to have a cup of tea and chat with one of the advisors. They also have a range of weekly events including pasta night, reflections café, and film nights that you can get involved with.
