We know that studying for a PhD can be tough and sometimes you might need to step away from it and reconnect with others. The first year of your PhD may be especially difficult as you adjust to different processes, more independent study, making new friends and potentially living in a new place.

Enabling Services are running a group support session to give you an opportunity to meet with other first year PhD students and break down any feelings of isolation that you may be experiencing. It is also a good chance to meet PhD students from outside your field of study, as the group is open to first year PhD students from all Faculties. The group session is a conversational setting where you can share any concerns you may have about doing a PhD.

The group will take place on Friday 7th June from 10:00 - 11:30 in the Wellbeing Centre, 28 University Road.
