8 Weeks of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course

The 8 week course runs from 18th September - 6th November between 2pm – 4pm.

Enabling Services will be running our popular 8 Weeks of Mindfulness course for existing students. The course is due to run on Wednesday afternoons from the 18th September to the 6th November between 2pm – 4pm.

Mindfulness is about learning to be in the moment and moving away from ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. Studies show that this can help to reduce the level of stress we experience.

In this course, you will learn a range of formal and informal practices, which includes meditation and a variety of cognitive exercises, aimed at bringing greater awareness, clarity, concentration and choice to experience.

The course involves attendance at a group for 2 hours per week and daily home practice.

If you are interested in finding out more or would like an application form please email enable@soton.ac.uk. After you have completed an application form, you will be invited for an informal pre-course interview as part of the process.
