Stress Awareness Week
Stress Awareness Week is taking place 4th - 8th October 2019

Stress Awareness Week is taking place between 4th- 8th October 2019. The aim of the week is to promote the importance of wellbeing for everyone. The theme for this year is Resilience: the power to succeed! Starting a conversation about stress and wellbeing is important as it helps break the stigma.

Join Health and Wellbeing for De-Stress Day at the National Oceanographic Centre (NOC) on Wednesday 6th November.  The event will bring together University services for staff and students, local charities and organisations promoting wellbeing and sustainability.  There will also be a variety of activities that you can sign up to. View the SUSSED post to see the activities on offer and book your place on a session.

Looking after yourself

If you would like to talk to someone about your own stress levels, visit our webpage to see who to get in touch with. If you are worried about someone else, our webpage also has information about what you can do, and what the University can do to support them.

You could read through one or more of the NHS-designed self-help guides and explore some of the suggested websites and resources.

You could try listening to a podcast for your wellbeing or download an NHS app to help you learn more techniques to maintain your wellbeing.
