Student Support Drop-in times during the winter break

Good news! The Student Support Drop-in service will continue to take place outside of term-time, on a reduced schedule. You can meet with a trained advisor to talk about a range of topics, including wellbeing, concerns about a friend, practical support, and study support.

 

The Drop-ins will run as follows:

 Monday 23rd December  1pm – 3pm  Building 37 (Student Services), Highfield Campus
 Tuesday 24th December  7pm-8pm  Glen Eyre Halls
 Tuesday 31st December  7pm-8pm  Glen Eyre Halls
 Thursday 2nd January  7pm - 8pm  Mayflower Halls
 Friday 3rd January  1pm-3pm  Building 37 (Student Services), Highfield Campus

There will be no Student Support Drop-in sessions from Tuesday 24th December until Tuesday 31st December (inclusive) due to the University closure, and Enabling Services will not be contactable during this time.

Please note that during this period, you can contact Student Life on a 24/7 basis by calling 02380 598180 or emailing studentlife@soton.ac.uk. Additionally, you can contact Samaritans at any time on 116 123 or jo@samaritans.org or you can contact Shout via text any time on 85258.

From Monday 6th January onwards, the Student Support Drop-in will resume its term-time operating hours.

If you are staying in Southampton, join Student Life over the Christmas break for their festive events. They will be hosting two events which are open to all students, both those living in Halls and Private Rented accommodation. 

Christmas Day - 25th December 2019 at Glen Eyre Halls in the PDR room from 7pm

  • Decorate a gingerbread house
  • Play some games
  • Food and refreshments

New Year's Eve - 31st December at Mayflower, Halls from 8pm

  • Arts and crafts
  • Photobooth
  • Food and refreshments
  • Countdown till midnight!
