Please note that Emergency AERS are for exceptional circumstances only. The Semester One AER deadline for long-standing conditions has now passed.

If you would like to find out more about the AERs process for long-term conditions please see the guidance on our website.

If you have recently become unwell or have sustained a short-term injury, Enabling Services may be able to organise Emergency AERs for one semester for you. To be considered for emergency AERs, you will need to provide us with a copy of your medical evidence as soon as possible following the illness or injury.

The quickest way for advice about accessing emergency AERs is to attend a Student Support Drop-in session. A drop in advisor will be able to advise you about the next steps and arrange an appointment for you if required.

If you are unable to attend the Student Support Drop-in, Enabling Services can be contacted via telephone; 023 8059 7726, email; enable@soton.ac.uk or in person at our front desk in Building 37 (9am - 5pm).
