Have you been sent an email about your Disabled Students' Allowance from your funding body following your Needs Assessment? This email may contain your DSA2 Entitlement Letter, which tells you what you have been given funding for and how to put this in place.

First step:

It is important to take some time to read through this letter as it will detail the funding that has been approved, as well as contact details for organising:

  • non-medical helpers
  • assistive technology training
  • equipment

Second step:

Using the contact details provided in the DSA2 Entitlement Letter, contact the equipment suppliers and/or assistive technology and non-medical helper providers. You can usually choose to do this by either phone or email.

If you have any questions about your DSA2 Entitlement Letter or how to make contact with the suppliers and providers, please contact Enabling Services at enable@soton.ac.uk or on 023 8059 9599 (option 3).
