We're Listening - Disability Awareness Month

Published: 16 November 2021

The Student Disability and Inclusion team is taking the opportunity of UK Disability History Month to listen to the experiences of disabled students at the University of Southampton.

We want to listen to and learn from students so that we the actions we take, the decisions we make and the goals we set ourselves in relation to services and support for disabled students, are meaningful and based on lived experience.  The learning will feed into our Student Disability Strategic Plan, due for completion in 2022.

We are keen to hear from a diverse range of disabled students, including those with hidden disabilities and those who consider themselves to be neurodivergent, those with mental health conditions and those with physical impairments and long term health conditions.

These can be found outside the Assistive Technology Suite (ATS) in Hartley Library, next to the door in the Student Hub in Building 37 and on an accessible table in the Jubilee sports centre entrance.
