For University of Southampton Students. Want to try mindfulness meditation, but not sure where to begin? This two hour workshop will be an opportunity to get started.

Mindfulness meditation can be an effective way to help manage stress and improve your concentration and focus. Mindfulness can also provide a way of becoming calmer and more relaxed. By using mindfulness meditation to become more aware of our automatic reactions, we can learn to respond differently to our experiences.

In this workshop we will look at what mindfulness is (and what it isn’t), why people use mindfulness practices in their day-to-day lives and the basics of mindfulness meditation.

You don’t need any previous experience of mindfulness or meditation – just a willingness to engage in some guided mindfulness practices. There will also be time to share comments and ask questions.
