For University of Southampton students and staff. Getting our bodies moving is one way that we can look after our wellbeing. Join Sport and Wellbeing for an interactive workshop where you can learn about Passive Muscular Relaxation and Pilates: Passive Muscular Relaxation (PMR): this form of relaxation focuses on specific body parts and muscle groups from a relaxed state. It can be performed lying down or seated. A great way to relax and unwind. Introduction to Pilates Workshop: an introduction to how to activate the core muscles of the body, and be aware of the posture and body alignment. This can help improve back conditions and any imbalances in the body. Please meet at Garden Court ten minutes before the start of the workshop to be walked over the location.
