Event details

Designed for students with a specific learning difficulty such as Dyslexia, this workshop is designed to help you maximize the critical content within an assignment. We will discuss critical thinking, what it is and why it is important. We will demonstrate active and critical reading strategies to help reduce your workload by helping you get what you need from text in a way that is efficient, reducing the need to go back and re-read text multiple times. There will be opportunities to ask questions related to your own work and share experiences with others, in a small, informal group setting. This is part of a series of small group workshops, aimed at students with a specific learning difficulty, such as Dyslexia. Students may choose to attend Parts A, B and C, however there is no requirement to attend all three sessions. This is a small group workshop, aimed at students with a specific learning difficulty, such as Dyslexia. The workshop will take place virtually via MS Teams.
