Event details

"Be Mindful" is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing - five evidence-based ways to contribute to positive wellbeing which are recommended by the NHS. This Mental Health Awareness Week, Enabling Services are offering a guided mindfulness session. This session is an opportunity to practise mindfulness meditation in a small group setting – all levels of experience are welcome. Mindfulness meditation can be an effective way to help manage stress and improve your concentration and focus. Mindfulness can also provide a way of becoming calmer and more relaxed. By using mindfulness meditation to become more aware of our automatic reactions, we can learn to respond differently to our experiences.

Once you have registered for this event via Eventbrite, you will be emailed a Microsoft Teams link for this event.

Mental Health Awareness Week at the University of Southampton brings together support services from the University and the wider community to further promote the support students can access.
