The Student Disability and Inclusion Team presents a series of Group Workshops which are designed for autistic students and those awaiting a diagnosis. You do not need a formal diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to join the workshops. In this session, we explore the commonly cited idea that being autistic means a person lacks empathy or the ability to make moral judgements. We explore how empathy may be different for autistic people but it is often that autistic people are able to feel more empathy than neurotypical people. We discuss how this can impact our moral reasoning.
This is Part C of a series of workshops designed to support students with ASC. Students may choose to attend Parts A to E, however there is no requirement to attend all sessions.
