Visiting us

If you will need support while studying, we recommend you visit us so you can find out more about the range and quality of our services.

Open days

We run an information stand on main University open days, and you are welcome to come and ask about our services. If you would like to make an appointment to see an advisor during one of our open days, please contact us in advance.

Visiting us once you have applied

If the Academic Unit to which you are applying expresses interest in your application and you have indicated that you need support, your application will be passed on to us. We may then contact you to encourage you to visit us on the same date as your academic interview or visit day. You will meet an advisor to discuss your possible support needs.

We can talk about:

We can also have a look at some of the facilities on campus. If you request it beforehand, we can also go and look at some of the Halls of Residence. If you have a mobility impairment please let us know this in advance so that we can confirm that the rooms you are expecting to visit have full access.

Let us know of any special requirements before your visit

If you need additional support during your visit, we will be happy to arrange this, but please give plenty of notice so we can set things up. If you are a British Sign Language user we can arrange to have an appropriately qualified communication support worker here during your visit and open day. We would need to confirm your attendance before you come to avoid any cancellation charges.
