Supporting students with SpLDs

There is a legal obligation on the University to make reasonable adjustments to teaching and learning so that students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs) are not disadvantaged.

Please find below links to our SpLD pages (including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and ADHD) which outline the reasonable adjustments process and some of the recommend strategies which can support the academic achievement of students with these conditions.

Dyslexia

A combination of attributes and difficulties which primarily affect reading, writing, organisation and working memory

Dyspraxia

A condition affecting movement and co-ordination

ADHD

A condition relating to attention difficulties, impulsive behaviour and, for some, hyperactivity
