Dr Dong-Hyuk Shin PhD
Research Fellow
Dr Dong-Hyuk Shin is Research Fellow within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Dr. Shin graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, in 2012 with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. He continued the research at Georgia Institute of Technology as a post-doctoral researcher for a short time after his graduation. Then, He took a position in the CERFACS, France as a postdoc working on simulation of industrial gas turbines with large eddy simulations for one year before joining the University of Southampton.
He obtained his Bachelor degree from Aerospace Engineering in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea.
Currently his research focus is on developing combustion model for diffusion flames using direct numerical simulations, working with Dr. Edward Richardson.
