Dr Ingrid Ku PhD, DIC, MEng, ACGI
Research Fellow
Dr Ingrid Ku is Research Fellow within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Ingrid Ku joined nCATS in March 2013 as a two-year postdoctoral research fellow, bringing her skills in mechanical engineering, tribology, CAD and software to design and construct a new state of the art oilfield friction simulator device. The work, in collaboration with a major oilfield equipment supplier, is investigating ways of increasing the operational efficiency of hydro-carbon extraction. Prior to joining nCATS, she obtained her Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, where she also completed her PhD in MEMS Friction. Ingrid will be working with Drs John Walker and Terry Harvey and Professor Robert Wood.
