Rob Harris is a visiting professor to the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Rob Harris is the one of the UK’s leading acoustic engineers in the design of facilities for the performing arts. His concert halls include Bridgewater Hall Manchester, Concertgebouw Bruges, City Recital Hall Sydney, Kilden Kristiansand and Kings Place London. He is a world leader in opera house design, including Glyndebourne, Royal Opera House London, Wales Millennium Centre, Copenhagen and Oslo opera houses. Until 2015 he was Director of acoustic and theatre engineering for Arup. He is now a Director of Rob Harris Design Limited, which provides acoustic and theatre engineering consulting services. Rob is also a Visiting Lecturer in acoustics at University College London.
