Ahmed Sattar Jabbar Al-Zubaydi is an Academic Visitor in Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Materials processing by severe plastic deformation.

Ahmed obtained his PhD in Engineering Materials from University of Southampton in 2016 in field of bulk nanostructured materials produced by severe plastic deformation. His work focused on the processing of magnesium alloy at room temperature using high pressure torsion and investigation the resultant mechanical and thermal behaviours.

His research interests are nanomaterials, metals and alloys processing, severe plastic deformation, light alloys, materials characterization.
