Professor Appointed to the IPCC 5th Assessment Report
Prof. Robert Nicholls has been appointed to serve on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report (which will be published in 2013).
The IPCC is charged by the world's governments with reviewing the evidence base concerning human-induced climate change. He will act as a Review Editor on the Chapter on Coastal Impacts and Responses. The Review Editor manages and oversees the review process for each chapter and makes sure that the range of persepectives expressed in chapter reviews are fairly considered.
