Institution of Mechanical Engineers CEO visit to the School of Engineering Sciences
The School of Engineering Sciences (SES) at the University of Southampton welcomed the Institution of Mechanical Engineers CEO, Stephen Tetlow, MBE, to the University on 9 July. Stephen was a guest at the Smallpiece Trust dinner that evening and took the opportunity to visit the School in the afternoon.
Professor Robert Wood gave Stephen some background information about the School and the newly formed National Centre for Advanced Tribology (nCATS) followed by a tour of the Tribology laboratory. Stephen had an opportunity to meet and talk to some of the students on the bio-medical Smallpiece course, before a visit to the Electrochemistry laboratory.
