Adelle Blair MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment
Hi, I'm Adelle Blair and I studied MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton.
I felt that there was a lot more I could do in the management of our 365 beaches. I was successful in obtaining the British Council Scholarship for the Eastern Caribbean region for 2006/07. I chose the University of Southampton because of the various entry pathways it offers. Shortly, I hope to establish my consultancy offering environmental management and coastal engineering services.
I graduated from the University of Technology in Jamaica in 1999 with a First Class Honours degree in Physical Planning and Environmental Resource Development. I then worked for two years within the Environment Department of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
In 2002, I graduated from the University of East Anglia with an MSc degree in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Auditing and Environmental Management Systems. I returned to work in the Environment Department of my country and was promoted to the post of Senior Environmental Officer.
