Alisha studied at the University of Southampton, where she received a bachelor’s degree in 2017 in Biochemistry with a First class honours. Her dissertation looked at the influence of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) on endothelial migration and survival.  Alisha also undertook a summer placement with the University of Southampton as a part of the Williamson group, where she conducted research focusing on proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease.

After graduating, Alisha started a PhD in the Bioengineering group within Engineering and Physical Sciences. Her new project focuses on improving bone strength in Paget’s disease of bone.

Modulating mechanobiology and bloody supply to improve bone strength in Paget’s disease of bone.
