Miss Amanda Jane Haylett is Postgraduate research student within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Academic
My academic history covers various courses at college including a GNVQ and BTEC. Most notably is the work done during my university undergraduate degree. I hold various awards from this degree as well as a first class honours.

Work History
My work history is also varied, covering mainly software development and process improvement initiatives. The companies I have worked for are Xerox and HP in a software developer capacity, working independently on projects and in teams were the project demanded to improve internal processes (to solve company issues). Projects include;
- Extension to scanning facility (duplex, multi-sheet, multi-sized sheets in one single process) - Xerox
- Extension to in-house UI development tool to resolve weakness in production development speed. – Xerox
- Investigation, design and business plan scoping for workforce management, leading to software architecture. – HP
- Extension to medal distribution system for serving personnel. – HP / MOD
- Resolved HTTPS secure platform integration issues via innovative Oracle / Java plug-in coding. – HP / MOD
- Suite documentation and improvement to existing applications structural integrity – HP
- Process improvement investigations into EMEA accounts within HP.
