Ana Skarova is a postgraduate research student in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

She graduated with a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Coventry University in 2020. Her thesis was “The effect of vegetation in the sustainable drainage system”. The dissertation was aimed to perform a detailed experimental investigation on the longitudinal dispersion coefficient within various distributions and densities of artificial vegetation in the open channel.

Currently, Ana is studying for a PhD in Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. Her research is focused on management of rail stress with climate change for modern and legacy track specifications.
