Ben Cunningham is a postgraduate research student within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, part of the Engineering Materials group at the University of Southampton.
My interests are in the fatigue behaviour of both short and long cracks within the notch stress field in martensitic steel. I have focussed on the effects of notch geometry, shot peening and overloads on crack initiation and propagation behaviour.
