Mr Fikri Alami is a Postgraduate research student within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Fikri's PhD project will develop methods to design efficient and intelligent concrete structures by using flexible and high strength fibre reinforced polymers (FRP) as reinforcement.   Fikri joined the University of Southampton in December 2012, and his PhD is supervised by Dr Mithila Achintha.

Fikri has been a university lecturer in civil engineering at the University of Lampung, Indonesia since 1998. During this period, he involved with a number research and consultancy projects in structural concrete design and strengthening of concrete structures.
