Miss Jessica Savage is a Postgraduate research student within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

I completed a degree in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology at the University of Plymouth in 2010. Shortly afterwards, I joined a research expedition to Cambodia, working on the establishment of marine protected areas around threatened coral reef systems.

In 2012 I completed a Masters in Biodiversity and Conservation at the University of Southampton, before enrolling for a PhD. My research focus is on the environmental and social benefits of marine protected areas when applied to developing communities, with particular attention to Cambodia and The Philippines.

I am also a qualified PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and HSE Commercial Diver.
