Jaime Renedo is a Postgraduate research student within the Mechatronics Engineering Group, within Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton

Jaime Renedo Anglada was born in Madrid, Spain in 1989. He received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid, Spain, in 2013. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Mechatronics Engineering Group at the University of Southampton, U.K. His main research topic is the analytical study of electric machines for renewable energy systems, electric vehicles and marine thrusters.

From 2012 to 2013 he was an invited student at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT), a research centre of ICAI School of Engineering, which belongs to the Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid, Spain. The research topic was the modelling of large synchronous turbo-generators for stability analysis of power systems.

Jaime is an active member of Cigre UK and the IEEE Power and Energy Society.

  • FEEG1004 Electrical and Electronics Systems: The aim of this module is to introduce the subject of electricity and electrical systems focusing on the fundamentals of the subject in the context of applications in the areas of mechanical, aero, acoustic and ship engineering.
  • SESM6034 Advanced Electrical Systems: Provide an introduction to power system analysis and an in-depth coverage of power electronics and electric machine operation and design in the context of applications from the fields of renewable energy, marine propulsion and electric vehicles.
  • GENG0003 Mechanical Science: This module offers an introduction to the scientific principles and methods of mechanics.
  • Short introduction to 3D printing for undergraduate students.
