Kristian Hook is a Postgraduate Research Student within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southampton

I graduated from the University of Bath in 2014 with a 2.1 in Physics. My final year project was an investigation into micro-tuning and intonation. Following this I completed a Masters course in Music at the University of Surrey, graduating with merit in 2016.

I am now based in the ISVR at the University of Southampton, investigating the ‘Acoustic Black Holes’ effect. I hope to extend the current field and apply the concept to industrial applications.
