Marcos Benega is a Postgraduate research student for Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

I completed my BSc (Hons) degree in chemistry in 2009 and a further Licentiate degree in 2010 also in chemistry, both from Guarulhos University, Brazil. Concurrently worked as a research trainee in a food company and later as R&D analyst. I completed my MSc in Nuclear Technology in 2015 from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. The focus of my project during MSc was the development of radioactive sources for spine and brain tumours (brachytherapy).
