Shahir Yusuf is a postgraduate research student within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Shahir Yusuf graduated with a MEng Mechanical Engineering in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Southampton in 2016.
Shahir worked with Dr. Nong Gao and Prof. Shoufeng Yang for his Individual Project (IP) and Group Design Project (GDP), respectively, of which both projects were based on the materials science aspects of Additive Manufacturing (AM). A PhD position was available in 2016 which aims to study the AM process of metallic materials.
The main objective of Shahir’s research is to establish the process-microstructure-property relationship in AM-processed metallic materials.
