Currently Active:
Yes

The Centre for Mercury Research and Remediation (MercRes) conducts research into environmental mercury contamination, the transport and transformation behaviour of mercuric pollutants in aquatic and terrestrial systems, and remediation and mitigation options for contaminated environments.

Specific case studies include mercury pollution from industrial activities such as acetaldehyde production and chlor-alkali production, and mercury emissions control from combustion facilities.

The Mercury Research Centre welcomes applications from prospective PhD students.
