Our interdisciplinary research activities in wearable medical devices, sensors and systems, biomedical engineering and rehabilitation biomechanics are supported by specialised facilities. The facilities include state of the art electronics & signal processing instrumentation and precision sensor calibration system as well as unique prosthetics simulators, bio-electromechanical test platforms. The test platforms enable us to conduct series of lab-based control tests to assist advanced biomedical sensor development, mimicking real world scenarios. These also ensure our systems are well tested and evaluated prior to be exploited studies involving any human participants with ethics approvals.
